The National Great Rivers Museum in Alton, Illinois, seeks an organized, creative Community Engagement Intern to perform the following duties:
  • Visitor Engagement. The intern will be responsible for staffing the National Great Rivers Museum in a variety of capacities alongside USACE Rangers and museum volunteers. Depending on the day, duties may include greeting museum visitors, answering the phone, answering questions about the Corps, the Rivers Project Office, and the Museum, and providing interpretation of the various museum exhibits, the history and culture of the Mississippi River, and general river ecology. The intern will also give public and private tours of the Museum and the Melvin Price Locks and Dam.
