As part of the CPAWS Yukon team, the successful candidate will be responsible for engaging and building relationships with First Nation governments and citizens, community members and the Whitehorse public. At CPAWS Yukon we believe that public awareness, engagement, grassroots community organizing, education and empowerment are key to achieving wilderness protection. Support, both for and from First Nations Governments and community members, is something that CPAWS Yukon will continue to dedicate time towards as we feel that wilderness conservation in the Yukon cannot be rightfully achieved without it.
