Apply now to join the Sea Turtle, Inc. conservation team for the summer 2023 field season! This internship provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the day-to-day operations of field-based conservation work. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Nesting patrols via ATV (4-5 times per week in adverse weather conditions including high winds, direct sunlight, high heat, and humidity)
  • Tagging nesting sea turtles
  • Collecting morphometric data on nesting sea turtles
  • Excavating, relocating sea turtle nests
  • On-call stranding response, including locating, retrieving, and documenting live and deceased stranded sea turtles
  • Overnight, outdoor shifts during hatching season, including nest excavation, data collect
