The Conservation Practitioner I performs and participates in preserve restoration practices and maintenance.  This position will be stationed at J.T. Nickel Family Nature & Wildlife Preserve near Tahlequah, Oklahoma. This is a regular full-time position (35-40 hours per week) lasting through August 2022. Housing is not provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Identify and control invasive species by chemical or mechanical means.
  • Operates power tools, equipment, ATV’s and vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Maintains and repairs equipment including lawn mower, trimmer, brush cutter, chainsaw, tractor, ATV’s, UTV’s, spray tanks, pumps, and vehicles.
