We are seeking a talented conservation scientist/population biologist primarily to work on understanding the effects of offshore wind farms on seabirds, though the postholder may also work on other topics to provide the evidence needed to underpin RSPB policy and casework. About the Role: This is largely a desk-based position but there may be opportunities to participate in fieldwork. The role sits within the RSPB Centre for Conservation Science and the working location is flexible. This 12-month role will include:
  • Leading work using population modelling in decisions about new developments, potentially including production of bespoke population models to help understand the possible benefits of proposed compensatory measures to offset predicted advers
