About us

Quants Environmental is an established ecological consultancy with a diverse range of clients and projects. Our work spans the UK, but we are especially active across the beautiful landscapes of Yorkshire and the North of England (including the Yorkshire Dales AONB). Our projects are varied and interesting; the successful candidate will join our friendly team and be supported fully by our experienced and knowledgeable senior staff. We have a great ‘Company Culture’ and we know the importance of a healthy work/life balance.

Ecologists working for Quants benefit from:

  • Varied and interesting project work. (We do not employ teams of inexperienced staff to undertake repetitive or monotonous surveys on huge infrastructure projects.)
  • Experienced senior staff always on hand for mentoring and professional development.
  • Significant in-house expertise with regard to protected species, habitats and all aspects of applied ecology.
  • Generous investment in staff development and training.
  • Fast-tracked career progression due to a broad range of project experience and intensive support.

As a Company, we understand that our staff are our greatest asset. We fully support the advancement of knowledge and understanding through CPD.

Quants Environmental is a CIEEM Registered Practice; committed to the highest professional standards.

  • A good degree in Ecology or a closely related subject
  • A broad and solid knowledge of terrestrial applied ecology
  • Working knowledge of protected species surveys, mitigation and licensing
