The Dartmoor Headwaters Project (DHP) has been established to explore the feasibility and trial the effectiveness of natural flood management (NFM) measures within the upper reaches of a number of Dartmoor rivers. The DHP Officer will work with farmers, landowners and the local communities to implement and monitor a series of measures to help reduce the risk of flooding to properties and other infrastructure whilst also achieving additional benefits to enhance the natural environment where feasible. The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience delivering projects associated with NFM and other catchment related work.
