The Data and GIS Assistant will sit within the Ecology Team and work closely with the Data and GIS Officer.  Work will be mostly desk based using software such as GIS, excel and access, undertaking a wide range of activities such as processing species records, analysing data, Biodiversity Net-gain calculations and digitising maps. There will also be some opportunities for assisting with the wider work of the ecology team, such as ecological surveying. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of using GIS and excel and be proficient at learning new software packages. You will be highly organised able to handle a range of different tasks simultaneously. Good communication skills will be essential.  Knowledge and interest in British wildlife conservation will be an advantage
