Job Overview:

The Data Technician is an entry level position. The Data Technician processes data from automated sensors to detect and classify sounds from wildlife survey and monitoring projects. The position supports CMI’s operations team. Compensation: $20.50 per hour, 38 hours per week

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manages data intake process for a range of projects including shipping coordination
  • Responsible for data cleaning, data entry, and file transfer using tools in R
  • Reviews datasets and labels signals of interest (in particular seabird calls)
  • Works collaboratively with our team of analysts and managers
