This is an exciting role where you will have the opportunity to lead a national programme, internationally recognised as one of the world's leading Conservation Dog Programmes. The focus of the role is to lead the New Zealand Conservation Dogs Programme by setting clear direction and standards to ensure that the Programme is able to deliver a professional and effective dog detection service. The Programme is responsible for overseeing the training, mentoring and certifications for 80-plus registered handlers, including permanent staff and contractors.
