This is a temporary fixed-term position for a period of two years and could be located at either Dunedin or Invercargill. An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual to join the Operations Group in an exciting new role dedicated to promoting and improving advocacy for the protection of Taonga species such as New Zealand sea lion / rāpoka, yellow-eyed penguin / hoiho, Hector's dolphin and other marine species. Reporting to the Director, Operations, Southern South Island, this role will provide the opportunity for the Department to work closely with local communities in delivering on the Department's marine species conservation goals.
