This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, with native wildlife, in a unique and isolated environment. Your role will contribute to the conservation of the Nationally Critical NZ Fairy Tern (Sternula nereis davisae), where you will work as part of a small team focussed on protecting nesting NZ Fairy Terns during the breeding season. Tasks will include: locating, monitoring and protection NZ Fairy Tern nests, predator control, advocacy, compliance, data entry and reporting. The ideal applicant will have: A strong work ethic with good attention to detail A keen interest in ornithology and experience working with birds Knowledge and experience with predator control methodology Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to positively engage with public
