About the Natural Areas Conservancy
Through its visionary leadership and high-impact staff, the Natural Areas Conservancy is raising awareness and building support for nature in New York City and beyond. We research, manage, and advocate for New York City’s 20,000 acres of large forests, wetlands, and grasslands — also known as natural areas. We work in close partnership with NYC Parks and many local and national partners. Our work is rooted in respect for nature, people, and communities.
