The ideal candidate will be proficient in GIS, preferably QGIS or ArcMap, and using the DBRC GIS alongside a range of data sources, identify potential ancient woodlands across the project area, including sub 2ha woodlands. Training on the methodology, and approaches required will be provided. The postholder will also liaise with our partner organisations and be in regular contact with volunteers throughout the county. They will plan and programme delivery of the work in conjunction with the project supervisor and with project partners. Set up reporting and communication mechanisms. Develop and maintain good working relationships with partners. This is a part-time (30 hours per week), fixed term appointment until November 2022, based at DBRC’s office in Commercial Road, Exeter.
