Generation SDG – Youth Action on the SDGs is a “youth-to-youth” service initiative of the United Nations Association in Canada (UNA-Canada), with the goal to activate civic engagement through the creation of volunteer projects that promote meaningful service opportunities in Ottawa, Gatineau, Cornwall and Kemptville. Through empathy-based training and disciplined mentorship, 60 Ambassadors, aged 15-25, are engaged in and co-create projects that respond to pressing issues identified in their communities. These ‘SDG Ambassadors’ empower their peers to take action to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Canada by 2030.
