This position is with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources and is proficiency level scientific work with responsibilities for providing scientific expertise in the areas of marine fisheries management and regulation for the Shrimp & Crab Bureau. The knowledge, skills, abilities, and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: • Conducting surveys and investigative research studies and inspections; • Conducting field and/or laboratory tests; • Analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting field data to provide recommendations to upper-level management with the information necessary to make management and regulatory decisions regarding marine fisheries • Performing duties using independent judgment and discretion under the direct supervis
