The Nicholas School of the Environment (NSOE) at Duke University seeks to hire two tenure-track faculty at the Assistant Professor level whose research will build on the School’s core research and educational strengths to address key environmental challenges of the 21st century. We invite applicants specializing in any of the following areas: • Near-surface geology and geophysics with linkages to Earth resources, such as energy, minerals, water, and soils, or to geohazards. • Large- and regional-scale physical oceanography or ocean-atmospheric interactions, with relevance to past, current, and/or future climate. • Restoration ecology, developing natural solutions for increasing resilience across multiple systems or at landscapes scales in the face of ongoing environmental
