There is a new opportunity for a Field Officer to help deliver an ambitious EU LIFE funded peatland restoration project (Pennine PeatLIFE) in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Beauty. The post is initially for a period of 2 years, until 31st September 2020 with an opportunity for this to be extended dependent on future funding. The emphasis of the role will be on working with landowners, managers and contractors to deliver the project. Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a nature conservation or a related field together with experience of negotiating restoration works, including the surveying of damaged sites, the development and tendering specifications and the monitoring of contracts.
