Your Role in Our Vision
As a Senior Ecologist, you will be at the forefront of delivering impactful projects, managing ecological assessments, and providing high-level consultancy advice. Your responsibilities will include:

Project Management: Lead a variety of ecological projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Field Surveys & Assessments: Conduct and oversee ecological surveys, including habitat assessments and protected species surveys, while ensuring compliance with UK legislation and best practices.

Reporting & Consultancy Advice: Prepare technical reports and advise clients on mitigation strategies and biodiversity enhancements.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored advice and solutions that meet their needs.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in arboriculture and landscape design, to provide holistic environmental solutions.

Who We’re Looking For
You are a skilled ecologist with a passion for making a difference through effective project management and consultancy work. We’re looking for someone who:

·         Wants to progress and learn.

·         Holds a degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field, with significant experience in ecological consultancy.

·         Is experienced in leading ecological surveys and protected species assessments and has strong knowledge of relevant UK legislation.

·         Has proven experience in project management, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

·         Is proficient in preparing high-quality technical reports and impact assessments.

·         Has excellent client management skills, with the ability to build strong, lasting relationships.

·         Protected species licences (e.g., bat or great crested newt licences) and experience in BNG are highly desirable.
