We’re looking for an Ecological Field Officer with a passion for the environment to join our Major Projects Team.

Hours 40 hours per week, part time hours may be considered. A flexible approach to seasonal demands is essential.

 

The Role

Over the last 30 years, the company’s ecological practice has developed a strong reputation and proven track record as a leader in the field. The Major Projects Team was established to provide ecological support to high-value, long-term schemes across the country.
As Ecological Field Officer you’ll spend most of your time on-site assisting with all ecological elements of projects. You’ll be working with a range of clients on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Regular activities will include:
  • Planning works schedules and client liaison
  • Ecological clerk of works, including supervision
  • Assisting in and completing surveys for multiple species
  • Data collection and reporting.

Skills and Experience

A background in either field-based ecology or environmental landscaping is essential, with a minimum of one years’ relevant experience.

Good interpersonal skills are essential as the role will work closely with clients and colleagues. The role includes some involvement with reporting and so you’ll also need to be able to confidently use Microsoft Office applications.

A valid CSCS card would be advantageous.
