The purpose of the Environmental Planner is to provide advice on environmental impact assessment, environmental compliance and environmental management for Council operations, including the preparation and review of approvals and permit documentation. The role will also provide specialized environmental advice in relation to Development Applications and Planning Proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provision of practical, plain language and ‘balanced’ advice to Council and the Community as it relates to environmental impact assessment and environmental management.
  • Support Council and the Community navigate the complexities of natural resource policy, planning, and regulation.
