As a District Ecologist you will be part of a small team leading on Ecology, Planning and Heritage which forms an integral part of the wider Central England Sustainable Forestry and Land Management team. Ecologists play a vital role in enabling the SFLM team to meet its operational, environmental, financial and social objectives. Central England Forest District is responsible for management of almost 30,000 ha of the Public Forest Estate within a triangle formed by Blackpool, Hull and Milton Keynes. The District contains some of the busiest publicly accessible woodland in the UK; provides a supply of timber supporting the UK timber industry; and supports a wide range of important habitats and rare and important specie
