Planting for Pollinators is a Cumbria Local Nature Partnership project hosted by Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Cumbria County Council and funded by the Green Recovery Challenge Fund. The project is based at the Trust’s offices in Houghton just outside Carlisle. The successful applicant will work with project partners to:
  • Work closely with partners and contractors to improve roadside verges for pollinators by informing management regimes and demonstrating potential for biodiversity uplift.
  • Undertake a programme of baseline surveys, finalise restoration plans and develop management plans for roadside verges and community sites.
  • Appoint and manage contractors to carry out habitat restoration/creation works.
