Locations: Sheffield, Manchester, Hampshire, South Gloucestershire, Scotland

Salary: £15-18,000 pro rata, depending on role and experience
Type: various contracts (fixed term and flexible)

Ecus is pleased to welcome applications for Seasonal Ecologists commencing in March/April 2018 for a minimum period of 6 months.

We have 5 offices across the UK, in Sheffield, Manchester, Basingstoke, Charfield and Stirling and we are looking to recruit seasonal ecologists into all offices to assist on our wide portfolio of projects.

The Role

Under the supervision of our large team of professional ecologists, you will assist with a wide range of habitat and protected species surveys, collecting and collating data which will be essential to informing ecological impact assessments and mitigation measures for our wide range of client projects. You will also be involved in ecological mitigation and management schemes, including for example reptiles and great crested newt.

About You

We are looking for graduates with an ecology related degree and a passion for ecology and the environment and wish to embark on a career in environmental consultancy. You will have some plant and animal survey skills and knowledge perhaps gained through volunteer experience and possess a current full driving licence.

On a personal level, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people with good communication skills and the ability to fit into a lively and ambitious team. You must be willing to work anti-social hours and away from base where required.
