ELGT is seeking a part-time Shale Trail Project Manager to oversee all aspects of development and delivery of the Shale Trail project in West Lothian. The ‘Shale Trail’ is a new strategic project that will create an inspiring, enjoyable off-road trail of approximately 16 miles, linking some of West Lothian’s key shale villages, sites and features. It will shine a new light on the rich oil shale heritage of West Lothian, enabling local people and visitors to engage with social, cultural, ecological and other aspects of local history specific to the industry, as well as enabling recreation and outdoor exercise.
