Overview

The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) is excited to host our annual Educator Workshop from June 20 to 24, 2023, here in Bermuda. The Educator Workshop offers high school and university educators, curriculum specialists, administrators, and informal educators the opportunity to learn how to plan and execute future educational field study courses for their students at BIOS. During the four-night, five-day workshop, attendees will be provided with an overview of local attractions and the way in which these can be integrated into future educational experiences for students. The tuition fee includes room and board at BIOS as well as all workshop-related expenses, excluding flights and airport transfers.

For more information about BIOS’s Educator Workshop please see here.

BIOS is an independent US non-profit scientific research and educational organization based in Bermuda. For over 120 years BIOS-based researchers and visiting scientists have worked to explore the ocean and address critical local and global environmental issues. In 2021, BIOS merged with the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at Arizona State University, joining its mission to help ensure a habitable planet and a future in which well-being is attainable.
