Cetacean Research Opportunities available in Iceland Elding Whale Watching Reykjavik (Iceland) is offering research placements on board their vessels. This can be through Erasmus to gain experience or using data collected for your BSc, MSc thesis in connection with your university. Data collection involves both onboard collection and on land processing with focus on humpback whales, minke whales and white-beaked dolphins. Data that you can then use for your studies.Onboard data collection: Photo ID, GPS marking, behavioural studies, environmental studies. Onland: Photo processing, ID matching, cataloguing and updating sightings spreadsheets.
