Biology Assistant (DHA-RA) - Mosaics in Science, at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area
Engage 100+ young citizen scientists in acoustic bat monitoring efforts on multi-day river missions to determine bat species occurrence and distribution within riparian habitat along the San Juan and Colorado rivers. The intern will train citizen scientists and partner staff on a modified version of the North American Bat Monitoring Program (NABat) stationary point acoustic monitoring protocol and provide education on bat biology and conservation. The intern and citizen scientists will utilize bio-acoustic technology to visualize bat acoustics in real-time.
