This job helps to develop and sustain natural heritage across North Powys so that everyone can enjoy it and benefit from it. You will do this by working with partners, often in conflicting situations, to conserve wildlife and landscape, by managing designated sites, responding to consultations with expert local advice, and providing other professional advice relating to important habitats and protected species, often as part of a legal process. We are a small team with a big workload and a plethora of sites with various conservation designations. We are looking for an experienced conservation practitioner with good ecology skills and who already has experience of protected site management such as SSSI consenting, management agreement and HRA work.
