The MCC Environmental Steward will coordinate with Georges River Land Trust (GRLT) staff and volunteers to assist in deferred maintenance on many GRLT trails in addition to the enhancement of existing preserves. This service will include accompanying staff to project sites, participating in weekly volunteer days, and joining volunteers on one-off projects such as bridge construction and trail clearing. Other duties will include leading hiking groups, assisting with events on our nature preserves, and social media coordination. Finally, the ES will assist conservation staff and volunteers in the stewardship of our fee-owned properties and conservation easements.
