The European Biodiversity Conservation Coordinator (EBCC) is the focal point for the Global Species Programme in Europe. In particular, the EBCC will be responsible for managing the current project portfolio as well as strategically expanding the programme. The EBCC will stay abreast of relevant European policy in order to inform the development and direction of IUCN work, and likewise, to enable best use of the IUCN Knowledge Products developed so far for Europe (e.g. European Red Lists of Species and Ecosystems, Green List of Natura 2000) in guiding European policy.
