The Aquaculture Algologist will lead the production of multiple microalgae species in support of the Molluscan Broodstock Program (MBP) and the USDA-ARS Pacific Shellfish Breeding Center. The incumbent will be responsible for operation of six Industrial Plankton Photobioreactors, including a communal harvest system that delivers algae to multiple rearing areas within the facility. Algae production requires initial propagation using conventional batch techniques using high levels of attention to detail and aseptic techniques.
