As a part of the Animal and Plant Health Agency, the Wildlife team provide scientific support to various government and agency clients on matters of wildlife disease and wildlife management, as well as the wildlife ecology underpinning these. This includes wildlife diseases of policy interest such as rabies and avian influenza (e.g. notifiable diseases which may threaten public health or the economy). The job holder will join a team of ecologists working across a broad range of projects and be expected to contribute to these as necessary.
