About the role The role of an Enhance Bushfire Management Program Field Officer includes being a part of a committed team whose primary focus is the implementation of Bushfire Fuel reduction activities throughout the Branch and NSW as required, such as Fire breaks, Asset protection zones, and assist with planning, preparing and conducting Hazard reduction burns The teams assist the Management Areas within the Branch, as well as supporting wildfire management and suppression. The role requires plant operation i.e. Heavy Plant, Bobcats, mulchers and slashers, chainsaw and hand tools, with a focus on vehicle and fire preparedness. The position requires regular travel across the Branch and working with the operational Area’s and other agencies such as the Rural Fire Service
