Fish and Wildlife Technician 1

This position will help to assist the statewide small game management programs in New York.
Under the supervision of the small game unit leader, the incumbent will work with regional biologists and technicians to implement the migratory and upland game bird programs throughout the state.
Duties will include banding and survey data entry and management, game bird banding, survey implementation. The incumbent is responsible for data entry and maintenance of centralized harvest and survey databases.
Duties also include working with regional staff in data collection, drafting and/or assisting staff with preparation of reports, and assisting in field work for species management and monitoring.
