Duties                   Our Ageing Coastal Groundfish Biologist, 
  • Organizes, conducts, and manages groundfish ageing projects at WDFW and activities involved.
  • Trains and supervises unit staff that assist in groundfish ageing projects.
  • Coordinates age structure exchanges with technical staff and other state and federal age determination laboratories through the Committee of Age Reading Experts.
  • Consults with other agency technicians/biologists regarding ageing groundfish.
  • Performs statistical analysis of age and bio data primarily for quality control and quality assurance purposes using established procedures.
  • Writes detailed summary reports and technical publications.<
