Duties
Our Ageing Coastal Groundfish Biologist,
- Organizes, conducts, and manages groundfish ageing projects at WDFW and activities involved.
- Trains and supervises unit staff that assist in groundfish ageing projects.
- Coordinates age structure exchanges with technical staff and other state and federal age determination laboratories through the Committee of Age Reading Experts.
- Consults with other agency technicians/biologists regarding ageing groundfish.
- Performs statistical analysis of age and bio data primarily for quality control and quality assurance purposes using established procedures.
- Writes detailed summary reports and technical publications.<
