| ob Description | Lead Department’s efforts in conservation of forest land. Successful outcomes of this position should result in strategically prioritizing the agency approach to easement acquisition resulting in significant amounts of conserved forest land through a variety of current and potential methods, including easements, acquisitions, land use tax, and effective local land conservation policies and programs.
Duties include: working closely with VDOF staff, state, federal, local governments, organizations, and individuals in developing and implementing actions and programs to meet the State Forester’s forestland conservation goals.
