Job description Background Information Central Forest District has responsibility for the management of some 30,000ha of the Public Forest Estate within a triangle formed by Liverpool, Hull and Milton Keynes. The Forest District contains some of the busiest public woodlands in the UK and caters for a wide diversity of recreational use. West Beat includes 3,500 ha. of forest woodland and open country. A large proportion of the Beat is located within the Peak District National Park, and the ensuing sensitivities mean that cooperative working with partners and stakeholders is an essential part of the job.
