The Boise National Forest, Idaho City Ranger District is recruiting one 680 Hour Forestry Technician (Range) Intern beginning June 6th through September 2022.  Incumbent will primarily assist in Range monitoring and Noxious weed spraying on multiple districts. This placement will typically work four or five eight-hour days per week Mondays through Friday.  Position will be on the Idaho City Ranger District.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties will include serving with FS employees to complete rangeland monitoring (25%), spraying noxious weeds with herbicides (25%), allotment inspections (25%), and water development inspections (25%). This requires hiking/ working outdoors with a partner and/ or independently. Wearing a 40lb backpack while hiking in the woods spraying weeds
