Description HAWKCOUNTER needed to conduct the full-season spring raptor migration count at Bradbury Mountain State Park in south-central Maine from 15 Mar – 15 May, 2020. This is a long-term monitoring project, now in its 14th season, using standardized protocol to spot, identify, and count migrating diurnal birds of prey. The counter is responsible for data collection, daily data entry, and interaction with visitors to the count site. A stipend and free housing are provided. Qualifications Applicants must be adept at identifying eastern hawks, falcons, and eagles at a distance. Ability to identify non-raptor species helpful, though not a requirement.
