About Fundación Rewilding Chile

Fundación Rewilding Chile (RC) is a non-profit organization, a legacy of Douglas and Kristine Tompkins, who in the early 1990s decided to dedicate their lives to conserving the beauty and biodiversity of Chilean Patagonia and confronting the crisis of species extinction and climate change. Three decades later, RC promotes Rewilding as an integrated conservation strategy in the Route of Parks of Chilean Patagonia by creating marine and terrestrial protected areas, restoring ecosystems, and strengthening the link between communities and nature. Medium-sized, its central office is located in Puerto Varas with field teams in different National Parks along the Route of Parks. RC works in alliance with Tompkins Conservation, based in the United States, and with Rewilding Argentina, based in Argentina, collaborating for their fundraising efforts.
