The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity.  We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland.

THE ROLE

Working alongside the fundraising department and reporting into finance the Funded Projects Officer will monitor, evaluate and report on funded projects, co-ordinating the project team to achieve  financial and non-financial milestones. Not afraid to challenge the successful candidate will highlight risks and implications, thereby aiding the successful completion of projects and the financial health of the Trust. You’ll be responsible for maximising grant income through organised grant claims, maintenance of good funder relations and effective negotiations.

THE CANDIDATE

With relevant experience in supporting projects, you’ll need to be able to build and maintain good working relations with funding bodies, partners, regulators and project teams. You’ll be an excellent communicator with the ability to listen, interpret, influence, negotiate and challenge where necessary
