The Biologist I/II/Senior land and water acquisitions project lead will work closely with habitat biologists to procure land and water to benefit native anadromous or resident fish species. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Manages land and water acquisition projects to protect aquatic and riparian ecosystems. This includes working with representatives from other resource agencies in an effort to increase the quantity and improve the quality of aquatic habitats in the Upper Columbia Region.
  • Assesses the merits and feasibility of property acquisition opportunities, including land and water rights, for protection and/or enhancement of aquatic habitats.
  • Drafts and reviews conservation easements, baseline documentation, purchas
