The Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician of the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society (NAFWS) will serve under the guidance and supervision of the Invasive Species Coordinator. The Technician is responsible for the overall management and implementation of the GIS program, which includes the design, creation, integrity, and archival of the GIS database. The technician will be responsible for data integration into the NAFWS GIS database from sources such as GPS, geophysical, analytical data, field measurements and notes, hard copy maps, and tables. The technician will provide GIS technical expertise and leadership on projects, including web/mobile/desktop application development, relational database administration and design, GIS system design, and information management.
