Term: summer & fall/winter positions
Location: Based near Orillia, study area roughly Muskoka and Lake Simcoe watershed, travel to other project sites may be required
Housing: Accommodations (shared) may be available on-site or in the field.
Duties will vary with the nature of each position, but will include:
Target species will include various turtles, snakes, salamanders, and frogs
Survey wetlands, water bodies, and along roads, day or night in all weather conditions
Capture turtles for data collection and radio-telemetry, set traps, install nest cages, monitor cameras
Survey for other species at risk (i.e. plants, birds) as appropriate
Supervise volunteers, perform public education programs about turtles and other herpetofauna
