Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s mission is to connect and improve Gloucestershire’s wildlife and wild places and one of our key strategic objectives is ‘to create bigger, better and more connected places where wildlife can thrive. We cannot achieve this on our own, so we need to support other landowners to create, restore and manage wildlife habitat beyond our nature reserves. The Government’s 25 Year Environment Plan called for the creation of a national ‘Nature Recovery Network’ and we are committed to creating this network in Gloucestershire. The post holder will lead the development of an evidence-based Gloucestershire Nature Recovery Network, creating a spatial GIS-based master plan for nature restoration covering the entire county.
