About the role The Threatened Flora Ecologist is responsible for reducing the risk of extinction of threatened flora species within the Region by increasing the protection and improving management of key populations and their habitat on private and public land through: the collection and analysis of information; provision of advice; engagement of key stakeholders; development of policies, procedures and guidelines; and by facilitating the delivery of on-ground threat abatement activities Special Conditions Will be required to participate in fire management or associated duties, including emergency operations such as bush fire suppression activities, commensurate with their fitness and training levels. This may require some out of hours work including participation in an ‘on callâ€
