This position is responsible for developing and implementing conservation and management programs for grassland gamebird resources in Indiana. This includes northern bobwhite quail, ring-necked pheasant, and mourning dove. This position is responsible for the inventory, direct management, and related research of these species. This incumbent organizes and conducts population monitoring surveys, designs and implements research, and develops and implements education programs that promote statewide conservation practices for the wise management of grassland game bird resources. This position has limited additional responsibilities assisting with American woodcock and waterfowl. This incumbent will interact with the hunting and trapping public, as well as the general public.
