Description Position Summary: Working collaboratively with Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LAKE), the Great Basin Institute is recruiting an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Research Associate to participate in activities focused on preventing the spread of AIS by recreational watercraft. This position will support the Lake Mead Resource Management group and Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) Aquatic Invasive Species Programs through maintenance of decontamination units, conducting an AIS containment network study, and assisting with public outreach on AIS. Primary Responsibilities: Design and implement a study aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of AIS containment stations and developing mechanisms to optimize the efficacy of containment and prevention activities at Lake Mead.
