Job Description: In cooperation with the National Park Service Mojave National Preserve (MOJA), the Great Basin Institute (GBI) is recruiting a Vegetation Research Associate to work cooperatively with National Park Service staff to accomplish vegetation management throughout the Preserve. MOJA has 86 non-native species over an area of 7,000+ acres. Non-native species can cause irreparable damage to the ecological balance of plants, animals, soil, and water. They alter natural resources by forming monocultures, changing fire regimes, and decreasing water availability for native plants and animals.
